Vortex

How can a vortex just suck you up?  I believe the easiest way to explain this is by looking down through the vortex to see where you will land, then you will know if you were sucked up to save you or sucked up to end you.  In this case I think the heater is the cause since hot air rises.  I must have caught an updraft with a mattress and box spring, or perhaps it was all a dream induced by DayQuil.  Either way this reminds me of Vertigo and every other film about a bell tower.
