So Pennsylvania was called already by CNN, yet in 2004 when the results were final; it was much closer than when it was called then. If Pennsylvania votes for Obama then so be it, but why am I forced to stare at a 68% vote for Obama when we all know it will end up being much closer. What about those who were in line when the polls closed and could have ended up voting after the state was called?

I’ve been disturbed by a few things today. First, why do we even need to call states until a good deal of the votes are in? Exit polls are great but if I ever get polled, I’ll be sure to be in the margin of error for those that do no tell the truth on their voting habit. Why should anyone else know who I voted for except the United States? I even held back from my wife just so I would not influence her decision. As I watch all the numbers coming I just think about everyone in the west watching TV and wondering if they should go vote.

I also was disturbed by the video footage of the supposed Black Panthers intimidating voters in Philadelphia. We are on the verge of history being made and yet we see this. Here’s another news report on it. Are we expected to believe that if Obama wins we should not look into voter fraud and intimidation like this? I’m beginning to believe that no matter race or gender, politicians are a breed of their own.

Lastly, how is our government functioning as it should if everything becomes controlled by one party and then what of the Republicans lose the ability to filibuster? Are we to believe that one party knows best? Or is all this because of one man?

I have no idea where we are headed as a country, but through all of the smoke and mirrors; I’m glad I’m here to witness it. Perhaps I get a bit nostalgic to the good ole’ days of Reagan and even Clinton. At least then I didn’t stay up into the wee hours of the morning wondering who won. I also felt that there was some difference between parties and that I actually had some stronger pullings toward a particular candidate. To those of you reading this, I hope you voted, no matter who you voted for!

I have never been so dissallusioned as when I voted today. There were many days of back and forth with issues and candidates and I came to one conclusion: we need a third valid party. I haven’t been updating here too much but I just wanted to voice my worries over whoever wins the vote. Both have their plus sides and negative sides, yet my beliefs did not align with either one when the issues were discussed. Is the vote going to be close? I will certainly be watching CNN this evening.

Let me quote my last political post:

Hillary is perhaps the most authentic candidate only because we know she’s lying.

I never thought I would be dead on but there you have it. I now have proof of my assumptions which is kinda scary because it all came down to supposed sniper fire. So how will this change her chances? I suppose it could actually help considering that now people will just play the opposite game with her. Hillary says we need to spend money, everyone will hear we need to save. She will claim she is tough on drugs, we will hear that she likes a joint every now and then. She says she forgives Bill, we hear that Bill is still doing what he was doing but Hillary kicks his ass every night for it. Aren’t politics grand?

I also came to a startling realization as I read Transmetropolitan for a fourth time. Warren Ellis also has a gift for seeing the future. His comic bookized political race has eerie similarities to the current race. Rather than explain this I direct you to now go and read the collected Transmetropolitan graphic novels. You’ll feel all educated and stuff.

So do I have another prediction? I’m just wondering what else may mirror Transmet. In the story a higher up campaign figure gets killed on live TV to further the campaign of The Smiler. I hope nothing like this happens, but there will be some episode of tragedy coming from one side of the campaign trail. Rudy’s only problem was that “his” tragedy happened further away than a current tragedy. Maybe Obama gets a hangnail and Hillary has a medical condition where we find out that her lying is a mental disorder. And what about McCain? He’s actually a prototype clone/cyborg that has a tendency to misinterpret conservative. It will be deduced that his AI was programmed by Ross Perot. Thank you and good night.

I am getting very excited about the upcoming election. Regardless of who I vote for, this is going to be great television. It’s so refreshing to see that we have a race rather than two stiffs that are almost exactly the same and only show their true colors after the election. Granted, Hillary is perhaps the most authentic candidate only because we know she’s lying. Obama and John are on the path to cardboard cut-outs except for the fact that since no new television has been on each one has to be slightly more entertaining that usual. I’m just mad that Pennsylvania has to wait until the primary race is almost over. I sure hope the Huck keeps going at least until our primaries. He has my favorite celebrity endorsement from Mr. Stephen T. Colbert.

I’m actually glad we may finally have someone besides an old white guy. Even though I am a young white guy, it has always bothered me that no one has ever really had the chance to vote for someone besides an old white guy. Don’t get me wrong, if an old white guy is the best candidate in my opinion, then I will vote for him. If that’s not the case then I won’t.

So what does my magic 8-ball say? It says that Hillary will find out that Bill will do anything to get back to the white house. Obama will find out that Oprah only helps a little but getting older votes would help more. McCain will discover that he really does not have to do too much and that eventually even Rush will get on the band wagon just so a Democrat does not get elected. Huckabee will become a third party running with Colbert and will take votes away from various other write-ins such as Mickey Mouse and Homer. So who wins? So far we do.
